I've been following the streetwear scene over in Australia for a wee while now as I feel they do have a strong emerging culture similar to NZ. Plus we do get customers from Australia which is amazing. We had been keeping tabs on some influencers over in Melbourne and Brisbane who shared a similar vibe to Premium Clo and thought it was about time we reached out. Craig and Sara are a couple from Brisbane who absolutely killed the Season II Campaign.

It's crazy to see how time has flown and how far I've come since my first ever release (September, 2014). The vision and design aesthetic of Premium Clo has not changed one bit, Premium is growing into what it is meant to become.
The 'O.G' longsleeve tee was a unique design that no one had really seen at the time, with most streetwear in NZ coming from surf and skate wear backgrounds (still til this day imo).
So my instinct (I was 18 at the time) was to design for the niche market (which i was also a part of) that is influenced by music, particularly hip-hop/rnb and apply that culture, style and way of living into a streetwear brand.

A new digital platform to share the daily endeavours behind the brand, and to further document and share the journey of Premium Clo.
Studios™ Blog introduces Premium Clo in a new form.
As Premium is still slowly expanding organically, I feel its important to document any part of the journey where possible. In a few months we are expanding our space into a bigger and more creative workflow, where essentially the first official PremiumStudios will begin.
This blog/Studio will be a new platform for us as a brand to document and explore other aspects of our creative journey - We aim include interviews, podcasts, Q&A, video, and more.

"Underground Street is an idea that brings 'underground' streetwear clothing brands and music artists from New Zealand all together in one creative space. A chill atmosphere to meet and network with like-minded individuals within the community whilst browsing some quality under-rated NZ garments".
-
I rolled into 2018 with a solid direction of what needed to be done in order for PremiumClo to continue to organically expand - with one major thread being to NETWORK.
For the first collection of the year I didn't want to have the focus just being online only, I wanted my customers to see the new season product in front of them physically as sometimes online only doesn't do a product enough justice. I then approached local creative group Lowtide (@lowtidelabel) with the intentions of running an independent pop-up store. But then I thought, wait? I've been keeping connections close with a few other local brands, why don't we all just link up together and make something even bigger? Thats when I decided to get Distant Locals and Bittersweet on board to help create 'Underground Street', which went on to become a great success not only financially but most importantly with the connections we created with our audience.

Summer 2015 Collection was our hottest collection to date at that time, exceeding previous sales from previous collections (stoked). Part of the success was due to being able to work with Champion® USA's products and marketing this with our own style.
Not many (if any) other clothing brands in NZ are even able to find Champion, which is a huge point-of-difference which we have amongst others, even til this day. Trade secrets! Ssshhh!
